Starting January 9, 2023, Sonnet, a leading autonomous mobility company, launched a driverless shuttle service for tourists in Gangneung, a coastal city newly connected by the Gangneung KTX line.

The service aims to provide easy and free transportation for visitors to explore the city's key attractions without needing a car.

The service operates on three routes—A, B, and C—linking locations such as Ojukheon, Gyeongpo Lake, Songjeong Beach, and Anmok Coffee Street.

On Route B, a Kona EV-based autonomous vehicle connects Gangneung's historical and ecological sites, including the traditional house of Shin Saimdang and Yulgok Yi I.

Despite being driverless, each vehicle is staffed with a trained safety operator and undergoes route inspections every morning to ensure operational safety.

Sonnet emphasizes reliability and safety, aiming to offer a convenient and reassuring travel experience to all visitors through its autonomous shuttle system.
